Three ways to book

A table, one to twelve

Name, party size, date, lunch or dinner, and anything we should know — allergens, dietary notes, mobility, a birthday you would rather we did not announce across the deck. The form takes about a minute.

The whole deck

Sixty seated for a private lunch or dinner: rehearsal dinners, birthdays, or a boat-and-deck day that starts on Captain Vasilis’ caique at dawn. These go through a separate enquiry, not the booking form.

The Long Sunday Lunch

One Sunday a month the deck becomes a single seven-course table that starts at 13:00 and finishes when it finishes. €145 per person, six to sixty people.

Before you book

What happens if we cancel?

Free up to 48 hours before. Inside 48 hours we retain the 50% deposit on group bookings. Weather cancellations are never charged — if the meltemi closes the deck it has closed for us too.

Can we bring children, or a dog?

Both, gladly, on the deck rather than in the garden terraces, which are working ground. There are three high chairs; mention it when you book and one will be at the table.

How do we get back afterwards?

Twelve free guest spaces sit on the upper terrace and a step-free ramp runs down to the deck. Taxis do not idle at Houlakia — tell us at the end of dinner and we will call one before you need it.

Can you do a proposal table?

Yes, and we are good at it. Say so in the notes and Lena will hold the corner table at the west rail, which is the one the sun goes down behind.
